Halloween--
We hiked Badger Mountain on the 29th (Saturday before Halloween). YMCA sponsors a "trick or treat on the trail" each year. Kirk had plans to go golfing, so I took all three kids. We met a few friends there, but ended up hiking mostly by ourselves. There were 12 stops along the way for the kids to pick up a prize. At the bottom, they had face painting, pumpkin decorating and a couple of games. We made it back down in time to do the pumpkins. It was a fun event, and we will be back again! We also went to our friends, the Crofts, for cinnamon rolls that night.
The night before Halloween, Cade got sick. He threw up three times and was up for almost 5 hours (10-3) during the night. He missed his preschool party the next morning. However, he was feeling much better by evening and we all went out trick-or-treating. Cade told someone how his bucket was getting so full of candy and when we got home he poured his treats out into our treat bucket and it just exploded! I also took Cami to the doctor on Halloween because her stomach has been giving her so much trouble. They asked a lot of questions and told me to go get an x-ray the next day. The x-ray showed that she was constipated. We gave her some medicine to help and now she is taking miralax everyday for a few weeks. She is doing much better. After almost 3 weeks of lots of whining and not feeling well and not wanting to play, she is happy and running around. One time when she wasn't feeling well, she asked if I could wrestle with her. I was confused; Cami doesn't like to wrestle. Finally I figured out she meant she wanted to cuddle with me.
Last week Kirk went pheasant hunting on Friday with Parker Jones. They got 2 birds and had a great time. Saturday we spent a lot of time cleaning up the yard. We went to Dar's house and watched the BYU football game. Cade is really into BYU football right now. He is learning how the game works and enjoys being part of watching it. We built a fire and had s'mores that night. It was a good, relaxing day.
Ellie-
She is walking every where and is getting faster. She doesn't like to be carried anymore. She loves to pull out the plastic dishes and throw them all over the floor. She loves to steal phones and remotes. She will clap her hands, and do some action for "Wheels on the bus." She loves bath time. Most of her day is spent wandering around and picking up whatever is interesting and then dropping it when she finds something better. She loves to go for horsey rides on Cade or Cami. She is also pretty good at cleaning up and putting things away in boxes. We often find the wrong things in the boxes though. She is really hard to take care of at church. She just tries to run away and screams when we won't let her.
Cami-
She has been very particular with her hair lately. She likes it a certain way and throws a fit when I do it wrong. We were talking on facetime with Tom and Lisa one day and she was watching herself on the camera and stroking her fake hair and modeling. She is very picky with shoes and jackets too.
